How are our training sessions organized?
Our philosophy:
YOU are the actor of your learning; we accompany you in this learning process!
Our training sessions are 100% individual, one-to-one. You are guided in each session by your trainer.
In-person training can take place in our premises in Lyon (Sainte-Foy-Lès-Lyon) or at your company.
Remote training is conducted via video conference from your location, by connecting through a link provided by the trainer.
Sessions typically last 2 or 1.5 hour in-person, and 1,5 or 1 hour via video conference. The session schedule is directly determined in agreement with you and your trainer.
Before starting a training, we conduct a linguistic audit (assessment of prerequisite level and analysis of your needs). Following this audit, your provisional program is established.
Courses are designed in consultation with you (the trainee) to best meet your needs. The content is contextualized and prioritised according to your objective, using materials supplied by the trainer and professional documents, possibly supplied by the trainee (for example: emails, reports, brochures, slides…). Our courses are interactive: faceto-face conversation, presentations, simulations, role playing, listening and reading comprehension, written production, and suggestions for personal work.
Our educational materials used:
A learning manual can be chosen based on the trainee’s level, needs and profile.
Audio-visual aids: audio and video files, YouTube…
Pedagogical resources are prepared by the trainer based on your level, needs and the objective you aim to achieve.
Self-media: multimedia, language learning websites (SaWaLingua, Schubert, BBC English in a Minute, VOA, TV5Monde, la RAI, El País, RTVE, online dictionaries and conjugators…).
Visual aids: educational sheets, (with Word, PDF, PowerPoint, or photos…)
For modules in English, French and Spanish, a subscription to our language learning platform “SaWaLingua” is provided. You will receive your access code to the platform at the start of the training.
Supervision details for remote sessions:
Individual video conference training is not very different from in-person training, since our sessions are face-to-face and one-to-one, ensuring the same level of interaction. The trainer and the trainee see each other through a screen
Our video conferences use tools that do not require prior software installation and are very easy to use
There are two options:
- 1) The trainer sends a link to the trainee by email before each video conference to connect at the scheduled time.
- 2) The trainer sends a fixed link to the trainee by email, valid for all video conference sessions.
The duration of each session is generally 1.5 hours or a minimum of 1 hour.
Visual and audio documents can be shared to engage the trainee as in-person. It is also possible to access and share websites, such as online dictionaries and conjugators, language learning sites, videos.
