HELP WITH WRITTEN FRENCH – BRINGING THE EMPLOYEE UP TO STANDARD

A company for whom we run English courses asked us to help an employee who was having difficulties with written French.

Her background: originally from Albania, she had not attended school in France and had learned French without going to classes; her spoken French was perfect, but she had problems with written French and wrote words phonetically. In a working context she had 80% mastery of written French / outside work 50%.

Need: the student wanted to learn certain grammatical, lexical and phonetic structures and to revise some things she had forgotten, in order to correct recurring errors and improve her written French both in her working context and in general.

Objective: to learn to apply methods and tools; to bring the student to a point where she could self-correct, know how to use the right tools and help her to achieve a degree of adaptation and transference of her language skills to become more autonomous and effective in writing.
